Warranty Terms & Conditions
SERVICE CONTRACT - Terms and Conditions
- Extended warranties, as it is for basic warranties, do not cover abusive or abnormal use of products (accidental or not) nor for products that have been tampered with or modified. Such product's warranty will be voided.
- Client agrees to pay a service charge of $30 (+ taxes) per product returned for which the product warranty has been voided.
- In a case where the warranty has been voided, the client can either pay to get the unit repaired and continue with the service contract or buy a new unit and transfer the remainder of the service contract over to the new unit. No credit or refund for the service contract shall be issued if the client decides not to repair or renew the unit
- Client agrees to pay a service charge of $30 (+ freight & taxes) per product for the 2nd and each subsequent N.F.F. (no fault found) product sent in for service.
- The service contract must be paid in full within terms (COD or NET 30 dependent upon the client's status, BlueStar Canada to have final say) to remain valid.
- BlueStar Canada reserves the right to cancel and credit or refund the remainder of a contract if:
a. it suspects wrongdoing and/or tampering of the part by reseller or any other parties;
b. if the client becomes insolvent or declares bankruptcy;
c. if the product manufacturer closes its doors or declares bankruptcy
Otherwise, no credit or refund is to be made on service contracts.
- Must be purchased within 30 days of purchase of products unless specifically accepted in writing by BlueStar Canada.
- Client accepts that potential replacement units are not necessarily new.
- Client accepts that if a specific product or if some or all of its parts are no longer available, then an equivalent product may be used to provide service.

Note: Service Plans do not cover replacement print heads for Thermal and Thermal Transfer printers as well as all consumables; however labor is covered. If the product cannot be repaired within the specific contract period, the client will receive an extension of 1 month to the service plan. If a manufacturer declares a fault on one or more of their product's and requires the products to be recalled, BlueStar Canada service department will assist in the recall process but will not guarantee the one business day depot repair time.

Service is provided by the BlueStar Canada service center in Montreal, QC, Canada. All defective product(s) must be accompanied by a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Repair RMA's can be requested by:

BLUESTAR CANADA MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES: NEITHER PARTY SHALL BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER PURSUANT TO THIS AGREEMENT FOR AMOUNTS REPRESENTING INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF THE OTHER PARTY ARISING FROM THE PERFORMANCE OR BREACH OF ANY TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF SUCH PARTY HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITIES OF SUCH DAMAGES. The Reseller's exclusive remedy is expressly limited to performance of the services pertaining to this Agreement. BlueStar Canada's entire liability for damages to The Reseller or others resulting from services performed under this Agreement shall in no event exceed the amount paid by The Reseller for this service contract.

- Only the written terms and conditions of this document will apply. Verbal or other representations are not enforceable under this agreement.
- Products submitted for repair while not under service coverage or warranty will be charged BlueStar Canada's repair rates prevailing at the time such service is provided.
- Any modifications to any clauses on this contract do not constitute in any way shape or form the cancellation of the service contract. BlueStar Canada reserves the right to modify these terms & conditions herein without prior written consent.
- These simplecare terms and conditions (that BlueStar Canada' service center is authorized to repair) applies on products from the following manufacturers: ELO, Epson, Metrologic, Star, Toshiba TEC, Unitech, Datamax-O'Neil.
